	SYMBIAN NEWS - Matsushita to use Series 60 for Symbian smartphones 

10 July 2002 -- Matsushita, which sells products under the Panasonic brand name,
 has announced that it will license Nokia's Series 60 platform for a range of
smartphone products.  Series 60 is an interface specification and set of
applications for mass market smartphones, such as Nokia's own 7650.  It operates
on the Symbian platform, the development of which Nokia and Matsushita have both
played a key role in as Symbian equity partners...
